About the Learning Club
The Learning Club is run as weekly culturally relevant sessions for 9 to 19 year olds with a focus on introducing and developing understanding of literature, films and music by Black artists to support formal learning, enable educational achievement.
Job Specification
- Participation in session planning with the Workshop Leader
- Contributing to the development of a comprehensive Learning Club provision
- Setting up the venue for sessions
- Ensuring general wellbeing of children and young people, creating a safe and welcoming environment
- Supporting the activity ensuring all participants are safe and engaged
- Gathering feedback from the participants using the facilitator’s chosen method
- Giving feedback to the facilitator and Participation Manager as requested
- Tidying up after the sessions
Person Specification
- A passion for working with children and young people
- A passion for and knowledge of the arts
- Creating and maintaining accurate records
Desirable skills
- An understanding and passion for Literature, Art and Films by Black artists
- Positive and can-do attitude, creative, flexible and enthusiastic, with a commitment to excellence and professionalism
- Proficient IT user, including Microsoft Office and Google Packages

£15 per hour -

1 Year (Duration of current funding), 3 hours per week (Saturdays) -
